Having met in the queue for Pets at Home on the Old Kent Road, Alexa Daly (bass/vocals), Jenny Wells (guitar/vocals) and Jess McGill (guitar/keys), three proud pet owners with a shared taste for experimental post-punk, started playing about with the instruments they had lying around. The band started organically, developing through an enjoyment of hanging out and creating sounds they’d always wanted to get down as songs.

Through a serendipitous phone call a couple of years later, drummer Heather Britton joined the band with a multi-instrumentalist gift, which glued the four together. Next stop was a tour in Germany starting at the Reeperbahn Festival, with the completed Krush Puppies line up as we know it today.
