Behind the Bulgarian Cartrader persona lies the smart brain and poetic heart of Sofia born, currently Berlin based singer, producer and – obviously – vintage car enthusiast Daniel Stoyanov. His debut album ‘Motor Songs’, an inventive fusion of Indie (for fans of LCD Soundsystem, Beck or Glass Animals) with his inherent soulful voice and jazz influences, dropped in 2022. Since then he sold out headline shows in major European cities, won the prestigious Music Moves Europe award at ESNS, played the legendary L.A. School Night and reached the hearts of fans with his sensational and eclectic live performances. 

“BCT is a role, a character, but it‘s completely based on my personality. Some things are maybe a bit grotesque, so that I can be more relaxed myself. The more I get something deformed – for example something macho-like – out of the character,the less it‘s in my system afterwards .I‘ve never been able to use the humor with which I want to make the character likeable in other projects before, but that‘s exactly what helps me now. As self-protection. The path is so difficult and rocky – if you don‘t laugh at yourself, you break because of it, so you remain unaffected by the difficulty of the road.” – Daniel Stoyanov

Daniel currently works on his second album, which is set to drop in 2025 – just as ‘Motor Songs’, it will be fully written and produced by the man himself.
