Part of London’s thriving post-punk scene, deep tan are currently preparing to support Queens Of The Stone Age on tour this November on 14x UK/EU shows, across arenas including Amsterdam’s Ziggo Dome, Berlin’s Max-Schmeling Halle and London’s O2 Arena.

deep tan’s stripped-back, minimal sound is a vehicle for songs that engage with contemporary themes, from deepfake revenge pornography to gender-expansive ideology and stories of furry hedonism. Emerging from the fatalistic side of life with a flash of cynicism and a rumble of venomous intent, the Hackney-based three-piece tour extensively, joining contemporaries Yard Act, Bodega and Courting on the road as well as appearing on festival stages including Latitude, Secret Garden Party, Truck Festival, Live At Leeds, Dot-To-Dot, Wide Eyed Festival and more. In addition to the 2x vinyl EPs released to date (2021’s ‘creeping speedwells’ and 2022’s ‘diamond horsetail’), deep tan have also released a 7″ with cult London label Speedy Wunderground (black midi, Black Country, New Road, slowthai), produced by Dan Carey, and have featured in NME, DIY, Clash, Loud and Quiet, The Quietus, So Young, Kaltblut, Notion, Dork, Brooklyn Vegan, with their music playlisted at BBC Radio 6Music and Amazing Radio, also garnering plays on NTS, Apple Music Beats1, Radio X, SiriusXM, KEXP, BBC Wales, and have been featured as one of Steve Lamacq’s BBC 6Music Spotlight Artists.
