Drag Talk
“I’m running on a track, with a gun against my back… Bleeding on my clothes, screaming through my nose.” Front man, Jutty Taylor sings out on the song “The Barrel” with the poise and swagger you’d expect from someone who just stepped off the road. Taylor has been bottling up 10+ years of infectious, brit pop melodies just waiting to be unearthed around gooey shoegaze guitars and 90’s-era massive roomy drums. The band comprised of his best friends, all who grew up together in the incestuous LA music scene have somehow managed to quickly stake their claim as a band you can’t ignore. Selling out of their first vinyl pressing in under 48 hours, Drag Talk has amassed an early cult-like following without ever playing a single show. Their recordings have depth as they effortlessly conjure up feelings most listeners haven’t felt since the first time they heard ‘Loveless’ or ‘Urban Hymns’.
