Tommy Barlow grew up in a very musical household in Cambridge on a steady diet of traditional folk artists such as Flook and Michael McGoldrick. He subsequently moved to London to attend Guildhall where he studied Electronic Music . His music uses field recordings, guitars, strings, samples, his unique voice and sometimes bagpipes. His influences range from Bon Iver and Steve Reich to Mount Kimbie and James Blake.
His self-released mixtape from 2024 Mustard Seeds offered a window into his process and lead to Tommy being a regular at London venues such as The George Tavern, Shacklewell Arms and Spanners. He has played with bands such as RIP Magic, Ebbb and Quade (AD93)
